Bad News OTT Release Date:- The much-anticipated Bollywood romantic comedy, Bad News, starring Tripti Dimri, Vicky Kaushal and Amy Virk, is now on Amazon Prime Video. Directed by Anand Tiwari, the film was launched in theaters on July 19, 2024, and soon crossed the ₹100 crore mark at the field workplace. However, for those who missed it in theaters, there is a twist on how they will watch it online.

Unlike most films that become available on streaming platforms via subscription soon after their theatrical launch, Bad News requires viewers to pay a rental price. Currently, the film is offered for rent on Amazon Prime Video for Rs 349. The transfer will likely be a disappointment to followers who were willing to watch the film as part of their subscription.

Bad news movie plot

Saloni Bagga is a chef who makes his restaurant a profitable Meraki Star target. She meets Akhil Chadha, they usually hit it off immediately and get married soon after. However, issues soon arise in their marriage, each of which causes his restaurant to lose its Meraki star and which leads to Saloni being fired from her job. As a result of these issues, the couple decides to divorce.

Saloni then moved to Mussoorie to work in a restaurant owned by Gurbir Singh Pannu. After several chances, a drunk Saloni finally has a one-night stand with Gurbir. That same night, Akhil appears in her room, wanting her again, they usually find themselves having a great one-night stand.

Saloni will become pregnant as a result of these encounters. After taking a look to find out the baby’s father after giving birth, she realizes that she is pregnant with twins. To make matters worse, he is instructed by his doctor that due to a really rare phenomenon called heteropaternal superfecundation, the twins have completely different fathers, namely Akhil and Gurbir. This leads to a series of occasions where each Akhil and Gurbir try to show that one of them is a greater partner and father than the other.

On one such occasion, Saloni faints due to stress. She is admitted to the hospital and the doctor reveals that Gurbir’s baby is not growing properly but Akhil’s baby is growing normally though ready to deliver the twins on the due date. will not survive

In this situation, Akhil makes a selfless choice to increase the supply of twins, as this will give each of the newborns a chance to live. Fortunately the supply goes well and Saloni gives birth to two healthy babies and is fine herself. Post supply, she is touched when she learns about the selfless choice made by Akhil. She asks Akhil to marry her once again, to which he accepts; And Gurbir will reunite with his ex-girlfriend. In Tip, 2 {couples} collectively resolve to raise children; And after some time, Saloni’s restaurant also manages to win the Meraki Star.

Bad News cast and box office

Apart from the leads, the film boasts a powerful supporting cast with Neha Dhupia, Sheeba Chadha, Gajraj Rao, and Faisal Rashid. Dimri and Kaushal’s performances, in particular, have been widely praised by critics, contributing to the film’s success.

Despite its unorthodox story, Bad News managed to gross ₹115.74 crore worldwide, making it a financial success, although it fell short of its predecessor, Good News, which grossed ₹318 crore. Runaway success was no match.
