Shekhar Suman talks about Amitabh Bachchan’s fighting days

Shekhar said that Amitabh Bachchan did not get instant success in the Hindi film industry and experienced failure early in his career. He also claimed that the actor was completely written off by the industry.

Talking about his son Adhyayan Suman’s graph in Bollywood, during a chat with Bollywood Hungama, Shekhar said, “I was listening to an interview of Bachchan Saab and he said his 13-14-15 films in the first few years. flopped. The directors refer to him as ‘that constipated actor’ without naming him.

“I know it as a fact because Shashi Kapoor told me. He later said that there were producers who couldn’t work without him, but they were like, ‘Oh my god, this constipated actor is back looking for work.’ Kick him off the set, who let him in? When he auditioned as a newsreader, Akashvani rejected him because of his bad voice. How ironic is that? They said he didn’t have a good voice and some said he was tall,” he added.

Shekhar Suman recalls how Amitabh Bachchan was humiliated

Shekhar recounted the “bad” experience Bachchan told about his hardships.

“He said that he had come out of a studio and was sitting in a car and his parents were sitting in the back. A man came and knocked on the window and he abused in pure Hindi, ‘Who asked you to come here? Have you seen your face? Go back to wherever you came from. Can you imagine?”

On the work front, Shekhar Suman plays the character of Nawab Zulfikar in the serial ‘Heeramandi’. The period drama is set in the red light district of Heera Mandi in Lahore (now Pakistan) during the pre-Partition era.
