Stree 2 teaser is out

Although the teaser is not available on any of the official online platforms, a social media user managed to grab a clip from the theater and post it on X (formerly known as Twitter). The leak gave fans a glimpse into the thrills and chills of the sequel.

The leaked teaser shows Rajkumar Rao along with familiar faces like Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurana and Abhishek Banerjee as they face the ghost menace again in the same eerie village. The clip opens with the line “The legend is back”, and Rajkumar’s character exclaims “Yeh to aa gai sach mein” (She really is back).

The teaser offers a mix of high energy moments, energetic music and a touch of horror. Shraddha Kapoor comes in dual avatars. There is also a scene where Rajkumar confronts the ghost with his signature charm, pleading “please”.

Special appearance by Tamannaah Bhatia

A notable highlight of the teaser is Tamannaah Bhatia’s special appearance in a dance sequence. It is not clear whether she has a major role or a cameo, which adds another layer of intrigue to the film.

Streak 2 release date

Meanwhile, the makers announced the release date of the film on Friday. Directed by Amar Kaushik, the film will release on August 15. She shared a short and terrifying video on social media featuring ‘woman’ written in red Hindi font. The post was captioned: “Firse! #Sree2 in theaters this Independence Day August 15, 2024. Watch #Sree2 teaser with #Munjya exclusively in theaters from today.” The film marks the return of the successful “female” franchise. Directed by Amar Kaushik, the film also stars Tamannaah Bhatia in a special role, Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee, Aparshakti Khurana and Varun Dhawan.

Produced by Jio Studios and Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films, “Stree 2” is the sequel to the 2018 hit “Stree”.

Stree 2 will clash with Allu Arjun’s much-awaited film “Pushpa 2: The Rule”, also starring Rashmika Mandana and Fahadh Faasil. Directed by Sukumar, “Pushpa 2: The Rule” is a sequel to 2021’s “Pushpa: The Rise”.

“Stree 2” is part of Maddock Films’ expanding horror-comedy universe, which includes films like “Stree,” “Roohi,” “Bhedia” and “Munjya.”
