Janhvi Kapoor Rajkummar Rao: Rajkumar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor starrer romantic sports drama ‘Mr & Mrs Mahi’ released on 31st May to mixed reviews. Directed by Sharan Sharma, the film far exceeded expectations at the box office and received rave reviews from critics. The story revolves around a couple who are die-hard fans of former Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni and fall in love. The deliberate use of a ticket price of Rs 99 boosted the film’s box office success.
‘Mr & Mrs Mahi’ made good use of film lovers’ day by releasing on that day. On Friday (May 31), the ticket price of the film was Rs. 99 only.

Saknilk estimates that the film earned Rs 7 crore on its first day. The first weekend box office performance of the film was good, with 56.15 percent occupancy in Hindi speaking regions. However, the film’s ability to maintain its momentum will be determined by next weekend.
Also, ‘Mr & Mrs Mahi’ became the fourth highest opening of 2024, surpassing ‘Teri Baton Mein Aisa Ulja Jiya’, ‘Article 370’ and ‘Maidan’.

ABPL Live review of the film reads: “’Mr. And Mrs. Mahi’ is a heartwarming film with a good storyline and strong performances and is a must watch. Despite the cast’s strong performances, the film seems a bit sluggish at times, forcing viewers to reach for their phones.
