Sharvari Wagh Starrer Munjya Crosses Rs 10 Crore In India

The film earned Rs 4 crore on its first day of release. Initial figures suggest that the film has collected 6.75 crores in India on its second day. So far the film has earned around Rs 10.75 crores. ‘Munjya’ had a Hindi occupancy rate of 30.99 per cent on Saturday.

Production house Maddock Films shared a note on Saturday saying, “This record-breaking collection for a film without an A-list cast is a testament to the power of a compelling story and the brilliance of CGI technology. Munjya created the biggest buzz in the industry and set the stage for an impressive box office run.

‘Munjya’, which released on Friday, follows the story of a mythical creature from the world of Indian belief and cultural system, set in Maharashtra. The creature clings to Bittu played by Abhay Verma in the film. Mona plays Pammi, a working mother who is very protective of Bittu. Sharwari, Mona Singh, Abhay Verma and Sathyaraj are playing the lead roles in the film.

The film is reportedly based on Maddock Films’ horror comedy universe, Stree (2018), Roohi (2021) and Bedia (2022).
