What is National Intelligence Grid (NATGRID)?

National Intelligence Grid (NATGRID) संघटित Intelligence Master Database Structure है। भारत सरकार ने 31 December, 2020 से National Intelligence Grid (NATGRID) को आरम्भ करने की योजना बनाई थी। इसकी स्थापना Real time data के साथ Suspected terrorists को पता करने और आतंकी हमलों को रोकने के लिए भी की जा रही है।

What is NATGRID?

National Intelligence Grid (NATGRID) एक प्रभावशाली Intelligence aggregation mechanism है। इस परियोजना की लागत करीबन 3400 करोड़ रुपये है, इसकी परिकल्पना 26/11 मुंबई आतंकी हमले के बाद की गयी थी। NATGRID में आप्रवासन प्रवेश और Departures, air travel, credit card purchases, banking and financial transactions, tax payers, telecom और train passengers से सम्बंधित सभी Data इकट्ठा ​होगा।

NATGRID के data recovery केन्द्र का निर्माण Bangalore में किया गया है, जबकि इसके मुख्यालय के निर्माण Delhi में करीबन पूरा हो चुका है।

पहले चरण में NATGRID में 10 User agencies और 21 Service provider भी शामिल होंगे। बाद में इसमें 950 संस्था इसमें जोड़े जायेंगे।

Importance of NATGRID at the present time

• वर्तमान समय में, airline या फिर Telephone कंपनी में किसी अस्पष्ट सूचना को जानने के लिये Security agencies सीधे airline या फिर Telephone कंपनियों से संपर्क करती हैं।
• Data को International servers में जैसे- गूगल (Google) आदि के जरिये से साझा किया जाता है।
• NATGRID यह यकीन करेगा कि इस तरह की जानकारी एक Safe platform के माध्यम से साझा की जाए ताकि Data की Privacy सुनिश्चित की जा सके।

Qualification of NATGRID

• BCA/MCA/M.SC Computer Science with minimum 3 or 4 years of Relevant Experience

10 agencies that can receive data from NATGRID on a real-time basis

• Intelligence Bureau (IB)
• Research and Analysis Wing (RAW)
• Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI)
• Enforcement Directorate (ED)
• Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI)
• Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU)
• Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT)
• Central Board of Excise and Customs (CBEC)
• Director General of Central Excise and Intelligence (DGCEI)
• Narcotics Control Board (NCB)
