Electric cars, or electric cars, are those cars that are electric-powered from batteries to vehicles powered by electric motors. Although electric cars usually have quicker speeds and their maximum speed is also universally accepted, but the batteries available in 2010 were of less specific energy than carbon-based fuel, which meant that not only they would reduce vehicle load There will be a large part, but also will not give much range after being charged.

Recharging can also take a long time. Development of infrastructure such as battery replacement stations as options for long-distance travel is underway in Tokyo and some other cities.

Types of electric vehicles

Electric vehicles are classified in three-part. Each type of vehicle works in a different way and has its own advantages and disadvantages.

Hybrid electric vehicles

Hybrid electric vehicles are called hybrids, which are powered by a combination of an internal combustion engine and an electric motor. There are many types of hybrid vehicles, and hybrid vehicles depend on whether the engine or motor is the primary source of power. Some hybrid vehicles are primarily powered by an internal combustion engine, which is replenished by an electric motor.

Plug-in hybrid vehicles

The plug-in hybrid has an electric motor and a gasoline engine similar to other hybrids. But plug-ins have a larger battery, and this battery can also be charged from a secondary power source when they are at rest. You can drive anywhere from 10 to 40 miles using just electricity before the plug-in hybrid battery runs out. The Chevrolet Volt is a perfect example of this type of vehicle.

All-electric vehicles

The all-electric vehicle is also known as a battery-electric vehicle. It is powered by only one battery and one electric motor, with no gasoline engine at all. When their electricity runs low, all-electric vehicles must plug in an external source of electricity to recharge their batteries. Because their batteries are larger than the batteries of other electric vehicles, all-electric vehicles can drive for about 100 miles before being recharged.

New Skill Needs and Employment Opportunities in Electric Vehicles Industry

Due to the increasing demand for electric vehicles in India by 2030, 30% of the vehicles on the roads are expected to be electric or hybrid electric vehicles. At present, there are about 23 crore vehicles in India and by 2030 one-third of the vehicles may have about 10 crore vehicles.

The growth of vehicles means a much larger ecosystem of original equipment manufacturers and component companies. Electrical mobility can thus employ millions of local, green, and highly skilled people. According to an estimate by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, the EV industry is believed to create one crore jobs by 2030 alone. For every direct job, there will be about five indirect jobs in society – this is taken from the total number of jobs. The EV industry is estimated to be around 5 crores.
