- Launch of National Level Hackathon ‘KAWACH-2023’ on 16 February 2023 to identify innovative ideas and technological solutions to ensure cyber security and meet the challenges of 21st-century cybercrime while enhancing India’s cyber preparedness to be done.
- Kavach-2023 is a one-of-a-kind national hackathon jointly developed by AICTE, the Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPRD), and the Cyber Crime Coordination Center of India. It identifies innovative ideas and technological solutions to address 21st-century cyber security and cybercrime challenges faced by law enforcement agencies and common citizens.

- UNDP’s “Don’t Choose Extinction” climate campaign wins two Anthem Awards
- The ‘Don’t Select Extinction’ campaign launched by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) to raise awareness about the climate emergency has won gold and silver in two different categories at the second annual Anthem Awards. It was announced by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Science (IADS) to be launched by the Webby Awards in 2021.
- The purpose of the awards is to celebrate the mission-driven work and social impact of individuals, corporations, and organizations. Its goal is to define a new benchmark for impactful work that inspires others to take action in their communities.
- Kollam district wins Swaraj Trophy 2021-22 for Best District Panchayat
- Kollam district panchayat has won the Swaraj Trophy for the best district panchayat in the state for the financial year 2021-22. Kannur District Panchayat ranked second in the ranking. Kollam district is one of the 14 districts of Kerala state, India.
- The district has a cross-section of the natural features of Kerala; It is endowed with a long coastline, a major Laccadive seaport, and an inland lake. There are many water bodies in the district.

- Indian football legend Tulsidas Balaram passes away at 86
- Tulsidas Balaram, one of the country’s finest footballers and a member of the golden era of Indian football (1951-1962), passed away. He was 86.
- He played in two Olympics in 1956 and 1960 and reached the pinnacle of Asian football when India, under the guidance of legendary coach Syed Abdul Rahim, won the Asian Games gold in Jakarta, beating South Korea 2-1 in 1962. Balaram scored 131 goals, including 14 for India, across seven seasons.
- Balaram made his mark playing football for the East Bengal of Kolkata and captained the team from 1961–62. He was one of the best players of the golden age of Indian football of the 1950s and 1960s.
- Yakshagana Bhagwat Balipa Narayan Bhagwat passed away at the age of 85
- Renowned Yakshagana singer and screenwriter Balipa Narayan Bhagwat passed away at the age of 85. He had mastered a unique style of singing, due to which fans have named ‘Balipa Style’.
- Rich in voice, Bhagwat has written more than 30 Yakshagana ‘Prasang’ (scripts). He was well versed in over 100 Yakshagana episodes, which he composed by heart. He had served in the field of Yakshagana for about 60 years. He was the chief Bhagwat of Kateel Durgaparmeshwari Prasadita Yakshagana Mandali (Kateel Mela).

- Ladakh to host India’s First Frozen-Lake Marathon at Pangong Tso
- The Pangong Tso Lake in Ladakh will host the first-ever frozen lake marathon on 20th February 2023, at an altitude of roughly 13,862 feet.
- The first-ever frozen lake marathon which is of 21-kilometer is India’s first of its kind. The marathon will occur at a height of 13,862 feet and it will be the first of its kind to ever take place in the globe at this altitude.
- On 20th February Adventure Sports foundation of Ladakh (ASFL) in collaboration with Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council Leh and Ladakh Tourism Department is going to organize India’s first 21 km long Pangong Frozen Lake Marathon.
- It would be an attempt to make a Guinness world record for the world’s highest frozen lake marathon according to Chief Executive Councilor LAHDC Leh Advocate Tashi Gyalson.
