  1. Maharashtra launched Chalo mobile app & smart card for bus travel
  • Maharashtra Tourism and Environment Minister Aaditya Thackeray has launched mobile applications “Chalo Mobile” application and Chalo Smart Card. The “Chalo Mobile” app will facilitate digital and advance purchase of Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) bus tickets.
  • Along with this, they have also launched NCMC compliant smart card of Best and Fare plans for travelers, which includes 10 trips for Rs 70 and another ‘Flexifre’.

  • Chalo mobile app will help in buying bus tickets online and will allow passengers to access bus passes through e-wallets.
  • Chalo mobile application will be maintained for a period of 6 years with an outlay of Rs 85 crores.
  1. NITI Aayog launches Vernacular Innovation Program (VIP)
  • NITI Aayog has launched Vernacular Innovation Program (VIP) which will enable innovators and entrepreneurs in India to access the innovation ecosystem in 22 scheduled languages.
  • Also, AIM NITI Aayog will launch a train-the-trainer program in which the Design Department of IIT Delhi will help train VTFs in Design Thinking and Entrepreneurship and adaptation of these disciplines in 22 languages ​​and cultures.
