It adds the Python-5 air-to-air missile (AAM) to Tejas’ air-to-air weapons package, India’s indigenously developed light combat aircraft.
  • The main objective of the tests is to validate the increasing capacity of the already integrated Derby Beyond Visual Range (BVR) AAM on Tejas. The Python-5 air-to-air missile (AAM) is built by Israel’s Rafael Advanced Defense System and is one of the world’s most state-of-the-art guided missiles.
