  • The Union Minister of Labor and Employment, Shri Bhupendra Yadav released a book titled ‘Role of Labor in India’s Development’ as a part of the ‘Coveted Week’ celebration of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ in New Delhi on March 09, 2022 . ,
  • The book has been published by V V Giri National Labor Institute, Noida under the Ministry of Labor, Government of India.
  • The book contains 12 articles written by eminent educationists and practitioners on the contribution of labor in India’s development journey.
  1. Indian Railways’ First Gati Shakti Cargo Terminal commissioned in Asansol Division of Eastern Railway
  • Indian Railways has commissioned the first ‘Gati Shakti Multi-Modal Cargo Terminal’ (GCT) in Asansol Division of Eastern Railway under PM Gati-Shakti programme.
  • This private siding of Maithon Power Limited was commissioned by Asansol Division at Thaparnagar, Jharkhand.
  • This is the first Gati Shakti Multi Modal Cargo Terminal (GCT) commissioned in the Indian Railways network since the launch of the GCT policy in December 2021.
  • With the commissioning of this terminal, the income of Indian Railways will increase by about Rs. 11 crore per month.
  • In line with PM Narendra Modi’s vision of “Gati Shakti” and policy of Ministry of Railways regarding GCT, Indian Railways will set up around 500 Multi-Modal Cargo Terminals under PM Gati-Shakti program within 4-5 years.
