Chhattisgarh becomes the first state to restore the old pension scheme

Chhattisgarh has become the first state in India to restore the old pension scheme to provide assured income to retired employees.
In this regard, the Chhattisgarh government sent a proposal to the Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA) for withdrawal of Rs 17,000 crore earned under the National Pension Scheme since November 2004.
The old pension scheme will be effective from April 1, 2022.
The old pension scheme gives 50% of the employee’s salary as a pension.

Morgan Stanley slashes India’s FY23 growth forecast to 7.6%

Morgan Stanley has lowered India’s growth forecast for FY2023 to 7.6% from 7.9% on account of a slowdown in global growth, higher commodity prices, and risk aversion in global capital markets.
According to the investment bank, its baseline forecast for India is 7.6% growth for FY13 and its recession and bullish projections are 6.7% and 8%, respectively.
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) lowered India’s growth forecast for the fiscal year 2013 from 7.8 percent to 7.2 percent.

Union Bank of India has announced the launch of an online platform named ‘Trade Next’ (trade.unionbankofindia.co.in/UBIFCC/portal#/login). The ‘Trade Next’ platform will help Indian exporters and importers to provide comprehensive cross-border trade finance services.
It will also offer seamless entry and processing of Letters of Credit (LCs), Bank Guarantees, Export/Import Bills, disbursement of export credit, outward and inward remittances, dealer financing, etc.
