IAF Commemorates 60 years of Glorious Service by Chetak Helicopters

Indian Air Force organized a grand conference at Air Force Station, Hakimpet on 02 April 2022 to commemorate 60 years of glorious service by Chetak helicopter in the Indian Air Force.
The Conclave was inaugurated by the Defense Minister Shri Rajnath Singh in the morning.
During the conclave inauguration, Raksha Mantri also released a special type cover on Chetak helicopters, a coffee table book and a commemorative film.
The Chetak Helicopter is the oldest operational flying machine with the Indian Air Force, built by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) under a license agreement. The Chetak helicopter was first inducted into the Indian Air Force in 1962.

Ministry of Culture launches ‘Temple 360’ website

The Minister of State for Culture and External Affairs, Meenakshi Lekhi, launched a website ‘Temple 360’ on April 02, 2022 during an event organized by the Ministry of Culture under the aegis of IGNCA Amphitheater, Indira Gandhi National Center for the Arts, New Delhi. Amrit Mahotsav is being called.
Temple 360 is a digital platform where one can visit 12 Jyotirlinga and Char Dham from any place. Through this portal, everyone’s life becomes convenient along with keeping people connected.
The website facilitates e-darshan, e-prasad, e-aarti and many other services to a devotee.

India’s unemployment rate falls to 7.6% in March from 8.1% in Feb 2022: CMIE Report

According to data from the Center for Monitoring Indian Economy (CMIE), it is estimated that the overall unemployment rate in India fell to 7.6 percent in March 2022. Which was 8.10 percent in February 2022.
The released report also noted that although the overall unemployment rate in the country is falling, it is still a high rate for a “poor” country like India.
In March 2022, Haryana recorded the highest unemployment rate of 26.7 percent in India. It is followed by Rajasthan (25%) and Jammu and Kashmir (25%), Bihar (14.4%), Tripura (14.1%) and West Bengal (5.6%) in unemployment rate.
Karnataka and Gujarat have recorded the lowest unemployment rate of 1.8% in March 2022.

FICCI Projects India’s GDP growth rate for FY23 at 7.4%

The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) has projected India’s GDP to grow at 7.4 percent in the financial year 2022-23 (FY23).
FICCI’s Economic Outlook Survey was released on April 03, 2022, it has come to light.
The report said that rising prices due to the Russia-Ukraine conflict is the biggest challenge to the global economic recovery.

India-Turkmenistan inks four agreements during President Ram Nath Kovind’s 3-day official visit to Turkmenistan

India and Turkmenistan signed four agreements during the State Visit of the President of India, Shri Ram Nath Kovind to Turkmenistan on April 02, 2022, after discussions. He has become the first President of India to visit independent Turkmenistan.
The agreement was signed after deliberations in the presence of Indian President Mr. Kovind and Turkmenistan President Sardar Berdimuhamedov.
President Kovind is on a week-long state visit to two countries, Turkmenistan (April 01-03) and the Netherlands (April 04–07).

Vikas Kumar appointed as third Managing Director of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC)

Vikas Kumar has been appointed as the new Managing Director of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC).
Vikas Kumar is a 1988 batch officer of the Indian Railway Traffic Service, who succeeds Mangu Singh.
Mangu Singh’s term ended on March 31, 2022.
Vikas Kumar is the third Managing Director of DMRC after E Sreedharan and Mangu Singh.
He has been appointed to this post for a period of five years.

Iga Swiatek beat Naomi Osaka to win 2022 Miami Open tennis title

Polish tennis star Inga Swietake defeated Naomi Osaka of Japan 6-4, 6–0 to register her victory. Played in the final match to claim the 2022 Miami Open tennis tournament.
